Karachi (Web Desk): Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a Negative note on Wednesday, with 39907.32 points and volume of 49,265,700 shares. High and Low were 40062.62 and 39825.23 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 169,422,127 shares with 353 total traded shares of companies out of which 168 Companies shares were up and 170 Companies shares were down and 15 were unchanged.
POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION was the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 42,256,700 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 31,740,000 shares.
The three top companies were Worldcall Telecom with a volume of 24,154,000 and price per share of 3.19 (0.15), Japan Power with a volume of 19,029,500 and price per share of 2.81 (0.53), and k-Electric with a volume of 15,109,500 and price per share of 6.64 (0.05).
The top three advancers were Nestle PakistanXD with price per share 11500.00 (107.50), Pak TobaccoXD with price per share of 1850.00 (42.00) and Island Textile with price per share of 832.50 (39.51).
