Bangladesh cricket security team visits Nishtar Park
A five-member Bangladesh security delegation visited the Nishtar Park Sports Complex and checked the security measures at the National Hockey Stadium and the Pakistan Cricket Board here on Tuesday. The Bangladesh security delegation is on a visit to Pakistan to assess the security situation ahead of their women’s cricket tour. The Bangladesh women’s team is likely to visit Pakistan by the end of this month to play ODI and T20 matches. Maj (r) Hussain Imam is leading the visiting delegation which comprises Lt-Col Rafiq ul Islam, DIG Misbauddin, Additional DIG Mazhar ul Islam and Security Advisor Bangladesh High Commission Mirza Aizazur Rehman. The visiting delegation expressed complete satisfaction over the security situation at all sports venues. Imam said that they were impressed with the security arrangements made by the Pakistani authorities for the tour of Bangladesh women’s cricket team later this month. “The security arrangements are impressive and we will be submitting our report to our cricket board which will take the final decision regarding the tour,” he told reporters.
