IT opens new avenues for trade
FAISALABAD – Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) president Muhammad Idrees on Wednesday said that developments in information technology had opened new avenues to expand international trade.
Addressing the inaugural function of video conferencing system at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) direct from FPCCI, he said video conferencing had emerged as the need of the day.
He said that chambers should first adopt these technologies enabling other small and medium units to set up their own video conferencing system to make business deals with their foreigner buyers.
He commended the efforts of Engineer Rizwan Ashraf for elevating the profile of FCCI and said the video conferencing system was yet another feather in his cap. He said that the FCCI was fully looking after its members; however, quality of services offered should also be improved in addition to resolving their emerging issues.
