LSE witnesses bearish trend, loses 39 points
The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on Wednesday witnessed bearish trend, as overall 63 companies’ shares were traded with rise in 10 companies’ shares and decline in shares of five companies while 48 companies shares’ remained unchanged.
The LSE-25 index, with 39.06 points decline, closed at 5,498.97. A total shares of Rs 6,36,200 shares were traded as compared to the last day’s business of 73,900 shares. The Bank of Punjab’s (BOP’s) Rs 19,100 shares were traded, Silk Bank Ltd’s 85,000 shares while K-Electric’s 53,000 shares were sold. The biggest increase was recorded in the shares of Mari petroleum whose value soared to Rs 1.67, while Maple Leaf Cement Factory shares value reduced to Rs 0.74.
