Master trainers prog concludes at HEC
ISLAMABAD – 25th Master Trainers-Faculty Professional Development Programme held under the auspices of Higher Education Commission (HEC) concluded on Sunday.
As many as 34 faculty members from public and HEC-funded private higher education institutions across Pakistan participated in the programme, said that a press release. HEC Executive Director Prof. Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti was the chief guest in the certificate distribution ceremony and Adviser Learning Innovation Division HEC, Shaheen Khan was also present on the occasion.
The Master Trainers-Faculty Professional Development Programme is an eight-week in-service, professional teaching certificate programme. It is designed for higher education teaching faculty to develop their research and other required professional skills. So far 692 faculty members have been trained through 24 batches of the programme and they are now serving as master trainers in their respective higher education institutions. In 25th batch, another 34 faculty members participated.
During the 25th batch along with core modules like Microteaching, Academic Planning & Management and Communication Skills, several other additional components were taught. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti appreciated the role of Learning Innovation Division for organising teachers training programmes to enhance the requisite pedagogical and administrative skills for in-service faculty. He encouraged the participants to replicate what they have learnt during this course in theirs parent institutions.
