Misbah's name included in Guinness Book of Records edition 2016

LAHORE – Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has been included in Guinness book of world records 2016 edition.

The player scored a century off 56 balls whereas he has also smashed 100 in both innings of the same Test. The 41 year-old Misbah has been named in the 2016 edition of Guinness Book of World Records for scoring the fastest century in the Test format of the game at Abu Dhabi against Australia in 2014. The skipper equaled the record of Sir Vivian Richards after scoring the fastest hundred in Test cricket on just 56 balls.

Misbah – who has been criticised for his defensive batting style throughout his career by former Pakistan players, critics and analysts who called him ‘Mr Tuk Tuk’ – didn’t answered them verbally and let his bat do the talking, after his blistering innings against the Aussies he gave them a shut-up call.

Recently a British newspaper ‘Telegraph’ declared Misbah-ul-Haq as the Best Test captain in the world and as far as the statistics go Misbah is Pakistan’s best Test captain with 18 Test victories including a series win against England, Australia, New Zealand and Sri-Lanaka.
