Turkish company to make investment in power projects
ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that government welcomes renewable energy projects and has enforced polices to encourage investment in these projects.
“Pakistan offers good opportunities of investment in the renewable energy as the country is blessed with vast natural resources,” said the minister for Water and Power while talking to a delegation of Turkish company Zurlo Energy Private Limited. It was apprised that the Zurlu Energy Private Limited has completed the 56.4MW wind power plants in 2013, and is interested to make investment in 200MW of solar power and 100MW wind power projects in Pakistan.
The minister said that all possible assistance would be extended for the facilitation of foreign investors in the country, particularly in the energy sectors. He also lauded the role of the Turkish government in the infrastructure development in Pakistan.
