KCCI donates relief goods for earthquake victims
KARACHI – Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) has donated two container-trucks of blankets, tents and sleeping bags for the recent earthquake affectees in the upper areas of the country.
These relief goods were handed over to Sindh government for supplementing Sindh Chief Minister Relief Programme for earthquake affectees.
KCCI has shown this austerity to share the miseries and hardships being suffered by the victims of recent earthquake which trembled many areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces, a chamber’s statement said.
KCCI former president Siraj Kassam Teli and Vice Chairman BMG Zubair Motiwala along with KCCI President Younus Muhammad Bashir handed over the two container-trucks laden with relief goods to Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah during a simple ceremony held at Chief Minister House.
KCCI Senior Vice President Zia Ahmed Khan, former president of KCCI AQ Khalil, Chairman Special Committee for ‘My Karachi Exhibition’ Idrees Memon were also present.
The chief minister welcomed the goodwill gesture shown by BMG leadership and KCCI office bearers who promptly responded to the hardships being suffered by our brothers and sisters inhabiting in Punjab, Pakhtunkhwa and other northern areas of Pakistan.
