KCCI president asks FBR to extend tax return date
KARACHI – Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) President Younus Muhammad Bashir on Friday requested Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend last date for filing income tax returns from October 31, 2015 to November 30, 2015.
In a statement issued here, KCCI president pointed out that a large number of KCCI members are seeking assistance of the chamber in this regard because they would not be able to file their returns by October 31, 2015 due to Muharram-ul-Harram holidays.
The Karachi’s main areas of industrial and commercial activities were completely sealed by the law enforcement agencies to ensure foolproof security to Ashura processions. Therefore, he pleaded, in the larger interest of revenue collection, of trade and industrial community the FBR should extend the last date of filing income tax returns up to the end of next month.
