BEOE sends over 0.78 million workers to abroad
ISLAMABAD: Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment (BEOE) has sent over 0.78 million workers abroad in the different categories from January 1 to November 30, 2015. An official source told APP here on Tursday that all the labour force has been send through 1740 Overseas Employment Promoters (OEPs) which are registered with BEOE.
He said that most of the workers has been send to the Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Oman.
To a question he said that all 1740 Overseas Employment Promoters (OEPs) have their validity by the end of 2016 and after expiray licence would be be renewed.
He said that main objectives and functions of the BEOE to control and regulate emigration, to look after the interests and welfare of such emigrants.
To achieve these objectives, the Bureau has evolved a systematic policy under the Emigration Ordinance 1979 and Rules made there under.
This policy is implemented through different field offices of the Bureau within and outside the country, he added.
