‘CloudClinik’ aims to provide e-health facilities in Pakistan
LAHORE: CloudClinik, an online Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software for doctors and patients, developed by leading software development company, INFOGISTIC, aims at transforming the healthcare sector of the country by providing e-health facilities, Daily Times learnt.
CloudClinik is a cloud-based EMR and practice management solution that takes care of entire clinical and non-clinical workflow of the clinic from walk-in or online patient registration, to appointment tracking, patient medical history and insurance claim generation besides ensuring iron-clad security of patient’s data and privacy.
INFOGISTIC Chief Operating Officer and CloudClinik Founder Sajjad Kirmani told Daily Times that his company is really excited to launch Pakistan’s first cloud based EMR solution for the medical and dental fraternity. “CloudClinik, which is an easy to adopt digital platform for the medical practitioners, has the potential to bring about significant efficiencies in the primary healthcare paradigm in Pakistan,” he added.
Small clinics in Pakistan are not using any sort of technology to maintain records at grassroots level. Installation of CloudClinik would not only keep the patients up-to-date regarding their treatments/surgeries, but would also help doctors analyse their practice and further use it for research purposes. The cost-effective software is designed for developing markets and the company aims to launch the service in other developing countries as well.
“This software would become a common norm in the next five years, as it will enable the people to analyse their own health in an efficient manner. With the doctor’s practicing license number inscribed in the prescription, the patients would feel more secure about their treatment,” he added.
Highlighting the previous successes of CloudClinik, he said the software was first taken up in Qatar, where it became the fastest growing practice management system with over 30 customers and 200 medical professionals using it. Besides, well over 120,000 patients are registered with CloudClinik for their regular appointments and vital tracking with the facility to maintain a complete e-file of their medication history, hence improving overall patient care, he added.
INFOGISITIC, a software house that focuses on healthcare and cyber security, was launched in 2012. In a short span of 3 years, the company received the best start-up award by the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), besides winning the 2nd best e-health facility provider last year.
