Hong Kong stocks open higher after Fed hike

HONG KONG : Hong Kong stocks rose soon after opening on Thursday as the Federal Reserve’s decision to lift interest rates for the first time in almost a decade boosted confidence in the US economy.

The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.64 percent, or 139.88 points, to 21,841.09.
