ICAP passes out 127 professionals
KARACHI: 127 newly qualified CAs of the Southern Region received their certificates, 6 students received merit certificates and 2 were awarded gold medals for outstanding performance. Murtaza Quaid was awarded the “ICAP – Irtiza Husain Gold Medal” for his outstanding performance in the subject of ‘Corporate Laws’ of C.A. Final examination.
Muzzamil Waheed was awarded the “ICAP – Kasbati Memorial Gold Medal” for his overall outstanding performance in C.A. ‘Certificate in Accounting & Finance’ stage examination.
The ceremony was hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and organised by the Southern Regional Committee (SRC), ICAP recently.
Speakers at Certificates’ Distribution Ceremony for the newly qualified Chartered Accountants urged the students to work hard with the same zeal and enthusiasm as the qualification is just one step towards achievements of future goals.
The guest speaker Abdul Rahim Suriya, Past President ICAP quoted various occasions of his personal journey towards achieving the respected qualification of CA. He also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the students and their families to achieve this milestone. Another guest speaker Kamran Nishat, CEO & Managing Director, Muller and Phipps Pakistan highlighted that it is up to the individual how they optimise themselves in their professional life and achieve success.
The theme for the evening was “Optimise”.
