Italy to back Pakistan’s bid for GSP
ISLAMABAD: The Italian government would support Pakistan in its bid to avail General System for Preference (GSP) facility, Italian Ambassador Stefano Pontecorvo said on Sunday.
He was talking about the reopening of trade mission and future of economic relations between Italy and Pakistan. To a question about the decision of the Italian government to re-open the trade mission in Pakistan, he said that its reopening would be a beginning of the revival of trade and economic ties between the two countries. Terming the reopening of trade mission in Pakistan a good start for economic activities, the ambassador said “our trade commissioner visited Pakistan recently and held meetings with more than eight ministers during his stay, including finance and commerce ministers, focussing economic ties.”
