Mega development projects to change destiny of Pakistan:President
KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain on Monday said that the present government has embarked upon a sting of mega energy and power development projects which would take the country forward on path of economic stability and prosperity.
Addressing the 52nd passing out parade of Pakistan Marine Academy, the President said that the mega projects including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), construction of motorways, Diamer Bhasha and Dasu dams etc, and setting up power plants would change destiny of the whole country.
“The country is fast becoming a significant hub of development activities in the whole region. The Central Asian countries (CARs) are also taking keen interest to link with the CPEC,” he added.
He also congratulated the 288 passing out cadets and expressed the hope that they would play their part in the country’s prosperity.
The President also lauded role and contributions of Pakistan Marines. He asked the whole nation to back the development projects as it did not belong to one particular political party.
He expressed the hope that with completion of power projects, the load shedding would end by 2018. The President said that Zarb e Azb operation would continue till elimination of last terrorist, similarly the Karachi operation would also continue.
“The young generations are future of the country and they must discharge their responsibility to attain progress and prosperity,” he added. He also urged the nation to eradicate corruption from society.
