PM rejects OGRA’s proposal for petrol price hike
ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif on Thursday rejected the summary of Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) for hike in Petroleum price from January 1.
While addressing the launching ceremony of National Health Programme premier said that Petroleum prices will remain unchanged in the month of January.
Earlier yesterday (OGRA) had recommended the petroleum ministry to increase the price of Petrol by Rs2.17 per litre for the month of January. He said Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas project would end gas crisis in the country.
According to a summary the price of Light Diesel by Rs5.93, High Octane Rs4.35 and Kerosene Rs8.07 per litre.
