Amir hopeful of regaining good reputation

LAHORE : Pakistani pacer Muhammad Amir on Monday expressed hope that he would regain good reputation after his return in cricket following bad experiences in his early age.

“I am hopeful for winning the confidence of cricket fans once again through my performance and positive attitude,” Amir said in his first ever interview since he was included in Pakistan’s ODI and T20 squds for New Zealand tour. “I am a changed player now both professionally and morally,” he added.

Amir said if any body has got a right to say something negative, then they must also give a chance to prove himself the right man.

He extended his wish to once again bowl in Lord’s cricket stadium, where he was caught involved in match fixing scandal in 2010.

To another query, Amir said that PCB has accepted him back with open heart and he pledged to prove his selection right through his performance.
