CPEC would be developed to more lanes: Ziaratwal
QUETTA : Parliamentary leader of Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP), Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal has said that a one-way road would be constructed on western route of China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC) soon which later would be developed to more lanes, adding that industrial zones would also be established along CPEC.
Talking to journalists here, he said that false and baseless propaganda was being made against the western route of CPEC. “There is no ambiguity on the design of western route. Soon, the work on construction of one-way road will be started on CPEC, passing through Balochistan,” he said.
Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal said that Zhob and Khuzdar would have major industrial zones along with CPEC while several other cities would also have small industrial zones, which would provide jobs to millions of youth, helping in resolving unemployment issue of Balochistan. He said that western route of CPEC would attract heavy foreign investment and CPEC was also bringing a lot of mega development projects in Balochistan.
Referring to peace talks with Baloch militants, he said the Chief Minister, Nawaz Sanaullah Khan Zehri should hold dialogues with Baloch militants. “Nawab Zehri should start peace dialogues with Baloch militants for the cause of peace in the province,” he added.
In reply to a question, Ziaratwal said that a resolution would be moved in the Balochistan Assembly to seek funds and powers for local bodies in the province and Inquiry would be made in Education Department. He said the coalition government of Balochistan had allocated 13 percent of total budget for education and 24 percent for health sectors
