Up to Rs 11 likely to cut in petroleum products prices from Feb 01

ISLAMABAD: Petroleum products prices are likely to be curtailed up to  Rs 11 from February 01.
Oil and Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has sent summary to government for scaling down prices of petroleum products. The announcement for reduction in the prices will be made following the final approval from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
OGRA through a summary forwarded to ministry of petroleum on Friday has recommended to reduce price of petrol by Rs7.56 per litre, high speed diesel by Rs 11 per litre, light diesel by Rs 7.36 per litre , high octane by Rs 10.15 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs 8.17 per litre.
Ministry of petroleum will send the summary received from OGRA to finance ministry for approval. Finance minister will obtain approval from PM for reduction in prices and will make announcement about curtailment in prices of petroleum products before February, 01.
