‘New auto policy to attract foreign investment’ Minister
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Industries and Production Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi on Thursday said that the new auto policy announced by the government had opened the doors for foreign investment.
“Car manufacturers from Europe and other areas of the world can expand their business by taking advantage of rapidly growing middle class of Pakistan, cheap labour and industrial friendly policies of the current government,” the minister added while talking to the Belarusian ambassador to Pakistan.
He said after the announcement of the new auto policy, investors from Germany, France and Belarus had expressed their interest in Pakistan’s auto industry. Jatoi said various western countries were considering investment in Pakistan after initiation of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, government’s prudent measures to revive national economy, successful war against terrorism and announcement of new auto policy.
He said the expression of interest by the Belarusian traders to invest in Pakistan was result of the government’s economic policies.
