IWCCI delegation off to Turkey to participate in int’l expo
ISLAMABAD: A 13-member delegation of women entrepreneurs, led by Islamabad Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) Founding President Samina Fazil, left for Turkey on Tuesday to participate in an international expo.
Besides participating in the BeautyEurasia 2016, to be held on April 21-23 in Istanbul, the delegation would visit different chambers, trade associations, high officials and explore business opportunities, said Fazil.
While talking to journalists at the airport, IWCCI President said “We will look into opportunities of imports, exports, joint ventures and franchises in the expo, which would be participated by different companies from almost 100 countries.” The companies participating in the mega event include those dealing in beauty products, perfumes, personal care, pharmaceuticals, machinery, raw material, importers, exporters and distributors that present a great opportunity to Pakistan entrepreneurs, she added.
“We will try to gain valuable insights into Turkey’s beauty industry as well as their market to introduce our products, which will also cement brotherly relations between the two countries,” she said, adding that the delegation would meet international buyers and thousands of professionals in Turkey that has a GNP of around $1 trillion and it is among top 15 economies of the world that can help us develop businesses.
The delegation includes IWCCI President Mumtaz Akhter, IWCCI executive members Munazza Arif, Neelam Khalid, Shamshad Kanwal, Musarrat Jabeen, Kiran Mohsin, Shahida Perveen, Parveen Akhtar, Rahat Waseem and Nadia Kanwal.
