CM Sindh signs summary, approving compensation to family of Amjad Sabri
KARACHI: Recently appointed Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday signed a summary regarding approval of compensation worth PKR 10 Million to family members of renowned slain Qawal Amjad Sabri.
Furthermore, the CM Sindh directed secretary to finance about delivery of the cheque to the family on immediate basis.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had also announced a grant worth PKR 10 million financial support to the family.
The PM further announced that the federal government will bear all the academic expenditure of Qawal’s children.
“The fatal shooting of Amjad Sabri is indeed a cowardly act by who so ever people behind it. His contribution in promoting love and tolerance not only in Pakistan but all around the world is unmatched and unparalleled in recent times. People of Pakistan has great admiration for him and will remember him as a goodwill ambassador of Pakistan around the world,” the PM had said in a statement while terming his loss to a loss of the country.
