PIA to generate a new division between cutomer services


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), in an ultimate move to regain the lost glory, has decided to create a separate division for customer care and premier service.

The new directorate would work under the newly appointed Director Tabassum Qadir, PIA spokesman said on Saturday. The new division would be formally launched next month after accomplishing necessary groundwork, he said.

The PIA spokesman said that new division would focus on improving PIA’s relations with customers and facilitate them in addressing their complaints.

The PIA Training Centre is adding new modules to their courses for providing better training to customer relations staff with the help of specialised instructors, he added.

The division, apart from looking after all matters related to PIA premier service, has also been tasked to focus on airline’s product development, keeping in view international aviation standards, he said. The national flag carrier had failed miserably to deal with the customer complaints in the past, which in turn caused a dent to its fame to be known as one of world’s best airlines of the world.
