Pakistan on the track of economic stability: Dastgir
LAHORE: Federal Minister of Commerce and Trade Khurram Dastagir said that Pakistan is heading towards economic stability, as the power outages has become zero in all the industries since October last year.
While addressing the “Technologist Convention” as a chief guest in a local hotel of the city, he said that gas supply to industries in Punjab and power outages will come to zero level soon.
He said that the budget of fiscal year 2013-14 was a deficit budget, therefore, we had to move towards International Monetary Fund.
Commerce Minister said media is criticising over the existing government but we should open our eyes in the current situation, as the improvement would be clearly seen in the country.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is also well aware of the prevailing situation. Its credit must be given to us as improvement is observed in the country,” he added.
The minister said that the supply of gas has been started to the industries of the Punjab. We are associated with other countries. CPEC project is a revolutionary initiative and game changer, which consists of approximately 75 percent of energy projects”, he said.
