PM Nawaz urges India to end violence in Kashmir
NEW YORK : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif while addressing to the Pakistani community in New York on Sunday said that Pakistani government will continue to support the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination on every level and platform.
The Prime Minister also warned India to stop atrocities in the Indian-held Kashmir. Kashmir issue could only be solved by the implementation of UN resolutions, he added.
PM also urged the international community and the UN to live up to their promise of the right to self determination of the Kashmiri people in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the government had launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the National Action Plan with the consensus of the whole nation. He vowed to get rid of terrorism in the country and said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would benefit the entire region.
Nawaz Sharif will hold meetings with key leaders on Monday and also address the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday.
