NEPRA to decide about reduction in power tariff by Rs 1.62 per unit today
ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power and Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will decide about scaling down power tariff by Rs1.62 per unit today.
Sources said that Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) had filed a petition in NEPRA seeking reduction in electricity prices under the head of Fuel Adjustment Surcharge (FAS) in the month of January.
It was taken plea in the application electricity was provided to consumers in January at the rate of Rs 8.25 per unit was far greater than cost of production of electricity.
Therefore, consumers afforded relief by reducing cost of per unit electricity by Rs 1.62.
