Pakistan Army announces nationwide operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ against terrorism
Pakistan Army on Wednesday announced nationwide operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ against terrorism.
According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Asif Ghafoor, the decision of the operation taken in a meeting chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa early today.
“The operation aims to eliminate menace of terrorism from the country and secure borders with joint collaboration of Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Navy, Civil Armed Forces as well as other security and law enforcement agencies”, an official statement revealed.
The statement further added that the operation would ensure operation against all banned outfits without any discrimination and implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
Moreover, Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad will also entail conduct of broad spectrum security and counter-terrorism operations by Rangers in Punjab.
