KKR, Zalmi won’t be playing any games, officials confirmed


ISLAMABAD: Reports regarding match series between champion of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Peshawar Zalmi and Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have been rejected by both sides.

Managements of Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight and Peshawar Zalmi have rejected the media speculations over to play a three-match series.

Kolkata Knight Riders rejected reports that the Bollywood superstar offered Shahrukh Khan to hold a three-match series with Pakistan Super League champions Peshawar Zalmi.

CEO of Kolkata Knight Riders Venky Mysore said that no such communication happened with PSL owner. KKR won’t be playing any games with Peshwar Zalmi as some false reports are claiming.

After KKR’s official twitter account called the reports false, PSL owner Afridi also said earlier media reports were just speculations.

The refutation came hours after Zalmi CEO Javed Afridi claimed Shahrukh Khan called him to congratulate over his team’s victory and suggested a three-match series at a neutral venue.
