National Assembly passes military courts’ amendment bill
ISLAMABAD: National Assembly on Tuesday passed the 28th Amendment Bill 2017, extending tenure of the military courts for two years.
Speaker Ayaz Sadiq chaired the session today. 253 NA members voted in favour while only four voted against the amendment bill.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif participated in the proceedings.
The amendment bill was tabled today after parliamentary parties agreed over two-year extension. The Pakistan Army Act 1952 has been amended for the cause.
