PSX stays bearish, observes another volatile session to close in red zone
KARACHI: Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a negative note on Wednesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index losing -76.49 by the close trading session to reach 49708.68 and volume of 120,948,690 shares. High and Low were 49954.04 and 49645.12 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 323,016,430 shares with 386 total traded companies out of which 163 were up and 210 were down and 13 were unchanged positively.
COMMERCIAL BANKS were the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 52,745,100 shares. It was followed by CHEMICAL with a total traded volume of 38,164,390 shares.
The three top companies were Summit Bank with a volume of 22,653,500 and price per share of 5.14 (0.39), Azgard Nine with a volume 21,678,000 of price per share of 14.00 (0.12), and Engro Polymer with a volume 20,202,000 of price per share of 28.10 (1.03).
The top three advancers were Nestle PakistanXD with price per share 9400.00 (200.00), Sanofi-Aventis XD with price per share of 2246.47 (106.97) and Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 2205.00 (105.00).
The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize XD with price per share of 7300.00 (50.00),The Searle Ltd. XDXB 639.00 (28.89) and Packages Ltd. XD with price per share of 860.50 (22.48).
