PSX Market closes on a negative note
KARACHI: Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a negative note on Monday, by the close trading session to reach 47671.80 and volume of 62,636,270 shares. High and Low were 49526.92 and 47538.17 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 246,801,202 shares with 383 total traded shares of companies out of which 32 Companies’ shares were up and 339 Companies’ shares were down and 12 were unchanged.
CEMENT were the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 39,902,300 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 36,537,600 shares.
The three top companies were Power Cement(R) with a volume of 26,345,500 and price per share of 0.73 (-0.47), Bank Of Punjab( with a volume of 15,946,000 and price per share of 0.67 (-0.24), and WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 13,820,500 and price per share of 3.38 (-0.13).
The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 1585.00 (49.10), Tandlianwala Sugar with price per share of 179.00 (8.00) and Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 2306.00 (5.99). The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1900.00 (-100.00), Mari Petroleum with price per share of 1620.55 (-78.26) and Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share of 2150.00 (-75.00).
