PSX Market closes on a negative note
KARACHI: Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a negative note with 46858.56 points on Wednesday and volume of 56,747,900 shares. High and Low were 47527.41 and 46733.70 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 144,927,275 shares with 320 total traded shares of companies out of which 98 Companies’ shares were up and 200 Companies’ shares were down and 22 were unchanged.
COMMERCIAL BANKS were the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 34,643,300 shares. It was followed by TECHNOLOGY AND COMMUNICATION with a total traded volume of 21,246,000 shares.
The three top companies were Bank Of Punjab( with a volume of 18,601,000 and price per share of 0.20 (-0.07), WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 12,251,500 and price per share of 3.55 (0.33), and K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 10,145,500 and price per share of 7.05 (0.09).
The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak LtdXD with price per share 2193.00 (27.50), Exide (PAK) with price per share of 1026.02 (24.50) and Agriautos Ind. with price per share of 434.00 (19.00).
The top three decliners were 434.00 with price per share of 7100.00 (-50.00), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1945.00 (-30.01) and Packages Ltd. with price per share of 749.03 (-29.86).
