PSX Market closes on a negative note
KARACHI: Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a negative note on Tuesday with 44914.44 points and volume of 135,195,560 shares. High and Low were 46777.33 and 44823.56 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 333,215,815 shares with 391 total traded shares of companies out of which 32 Companies’ shares were up and 340 Companies’ shares were down and 19 were unchanged.
COMMERCIAL BANKS were the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 100,663,600 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 30,355,900 shares.
The three top companies were Bank Of Punjab( with a volume of 47,738,000 and price per share of 0.05 (-0.09), K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 25,066,500 and price per share of 6.95 (0.03), and Askari Bank with a volume of 13,907,500 and price per share of 18.56 (-0.94).
The top three advancers were Sazgar Eng. with price per share 226.11 (10.76), Biafo Ind. with price per share of 261.94 (8. 89) and Climax Eng. with price per share of 173.95 (8.28).
The top three decliners were Unilever Foods with price per share of 5985.00 (-315.00), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1847.75 (-97.25) and Indus Motor Co with price per share of 1771.89 (-936.25).
