PSX Market closes on a negative note
KARACHI: Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a positive note on Friday with 46565.29 points and volume of 112,954,110 shares. High and Low were 46831.98 and 46506.12 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 391,384,106 shares with 388 total traded shares of companies out of which 212 Companies’ shares were up and 152 Companies’ shares were down and 24 were unchanged.
COMMERCIAL BANKS were the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 72,223,200 shares. It was followed by POWER GENERATION & DISTRIBUTION with a total traded volume of 32,292,000 shares.
The three top companies were K-Electric Ltd. with a volume of 29,693,500 and price per share of 6.90 (0.13), NIB Bank Limited with a volume of 23,008,000 and price per share of 1.72 (0.13), and Engro Polymer with a volume of 18,034,500 and price per share of 36.50 (-1.18).
The top three advancers were Philip Morris Pak. with price per share 2866.00 (136.00), Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1695.00 (79.00) and Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 1988.13 (71.05).
The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 10200.00 (-200.00), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1776.66 (-71.33) and Exide (PAK) with price per share of 938.50 (-42.39).
