Karachi (Web Desk): Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a Negative note on Tuesday, with 44457.30 points and volume of 71,895,440 shares. High and Low were 44615.10 and 44081.23 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 325,763,982 shares with 365 total traded shares of companies out of which 132 Companies shares were up and 214 Companies shares were down and 19 were unchanged.
TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION was the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 47,127,500 shares. It was followed by CHEMICAL with a total traded volume of 31,059,950 shares.
The three top companies were WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 35,389,000 and price per share of 2.57 (-0.20), Fauji Foods Ltd with a volume of25,291,500 and price per share of 19.98 (1.00), and Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 18,189,500 and price per share of 21.46 (0.76).
The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 2056.72 (102.44), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 1794.29 (40.00) and Sapphire Fiber with price per share of 884.00 (34.02).
The top three decliners were Khyber TobaccoXB with price per share of 987.86 (-51.87), Service Ind.Ltd with price per share of 943.35 (-49.00) and Exide (PAK) with price per share of 456.08 (-24.00).
