Karachi (Web Desk): Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a Negative note on Wednesday, with 44049.05 points and volume of 80,158,520 shares. High and Low were 44533.76 and 43996.42 respectively.
Total volume traded in the PSX market was 334,465,946 shares with 371 total traded shares of companies out of which 189 Companies shares were up and 161 Companies shares were down and 21 were unchanged.
CHEMICAL was the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 47,748,890 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 39,999,750 shares.
The three top companies in PSX were Dewan Cement with a volume of 29,942,500 and price per share of 26.38 (0.75), Engro Polymer with a volume of 26,320,500 and price per share of 26.88 (0.48), and WorldCall Telecom with a volume of 19,172,500 and price per share of 2.57 (0.00).
The top three advancers were Pak Tobacco with price per share 2159.55 (102.83), Bata (Pak) with price per share of 2499.00 (96.00) and Unilever Foods with price per share of 8050.00 (50.00).
The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 11020.00 (-580.00), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7000.00 (-200.00) and Khyber TobaccoXB with price per share of 938.47 (-49.39).
