Japanese FM visits Pakistan, to discuss bilateral interest
Islamabad(Online): Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Taro Kono has reached Islamabad to talk about issues of bilateral interests relating to local and worldwide undertakings with Pakistani authority.
High officials of foreign office was warmly welcomed him.
He will hold large ranging talks on bilateral issues with Foreign Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, to discuss both sides of views being exchanged on regional and global issues.
Japenese Foreign Minister will likewise meet his Pakistani partner and other high dignitaries to talk about issues of two-sided relations and additionally local and global situation during his stay.
In a statement, the foreign office spokesperson said Pakistan and Japan have witnessed stable progress in political, economic, trade and other fields and visit of Taro Kono will help further cement our bilateral ties.
The Japanese Foreign Minister will also meet Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. This marks the first visit of a Japanese Foreign Minister to Pakistan since 2009.
On December 20, 2017, Pakistan and Japan agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in security and counter terrorism.
