Sixth death anniversary of Arfa Karim today


Karachi (Web Desk): The youngest I.T engineer, Arfa Karim, died on January 14, 2012, by a cardiac arrest at the minor age of 16. Today marks her sixth anniversary.

Arfa Abdul Karim Randhawa is the name of the intelligent girl of Pakistan who got much fame in a very short period of time as she got the title of youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2008.

She also received several biggest awards such as Fatimah Jinnah Gold Medal, Salaam Pakistan Youth Award and President’s Pride of Performance as well as she also became brand ambassador for Pakistan Telecommunication Company’s 3G Wireless Broadband service, “EVO”, in 2010. She is the one who was invited by Bill Gates to visit Microsoft Headquarters in the U.S.

The World’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional Arfa Karim studied at Lahore Grammar School as she was studying in A-level (first year).

She died due to cardiac arrest which damaged her brain as she got admitted to Lahore’s Combined Military Hospital in a very serious condition on 22 December 2011. She was born on 2nd February 1995 in Faisalabad Punjab.

Following the footsteps of Arfa, Pakistan has seen many young children passing Microsoft Certificate tests.

In Lahore, Arfa Software Technology Park named after Arfa Karim has become the center point for every entrepreneurial activity in the city.
