Imad Wasim declared stable following mild concussion
Dubai (Web Desk): Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has been declared “stable” after the left-hander got injured while playing for Karachi Kings against Lahore Qalandars. The Kings’ skipper suffered an extra mild concussion after he injured himself while running backwards from mid off to take a catch on Sunday evening.
Imad ran backwards from mid off to take a catch of Sohail Khan. While he did complete a superb catch, he fell down and hit his head on the ground. He lay there for quite some time and got the attention of the medical staff before being stretched off the field.
The Karachi Kings skipper is expected to be under observation for the next 24 hours.
Karachi Kings Coach Mickey Arthur turned down the possibility of a serious injury to skipper Imad Wasim but confirmed that he will undergo a CT scan test and will be put under observation tonight.
Wasim was stretchered off after he took a catch on the ball of fast bowler Muhammad Amir, the skipper ran backward before taking a catch from near his face. He tumbled on his back, with his neck and head hitting the ground.
Speaking on the match, Arthur said that the team is playing good enough cricket and called the match against Qalandars, ‘a fantastic game, something the tournament needed.’
