Pakistan’s role is positive for the peace of the region: DG ISPR
Islamabad (Web Desk): Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor on Wednesday said that Pakistan’s role is positive for the peace of the region.
During the press conference, DG ISPR said that the effort has been made to smoothen the path of peace in the region, Pakistan’s role for the peace in the region should be seen in a positive way.
DG ISPR said that if Pakistan was seen suspicious, Pakistan’s peace efforts would be harmed and unstable Pakistan is not in favor of India.
India shouldn’t support instability in Pakistan through Afghanistan or through violations on the Line of Control as instability in our country is not in the interest of New Delhi,” the DG ISPR said while addressing a press conference in Islamabad.
DG ISPR said that Karachi has become peaceful city since the operation against criminals in last two years. He added that social, political and other activities have increased during these years, however still lot more to be done to maintain law and order in the city.
Warning India and others in the region from attempting to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), DG ISPR said, “The benefits from the economic corridor will be for the region, not just Pakistan and China.”
Major General Asif Ghafoor said that peace and stability in Balochistan was improving, and the army chief went to Turbat last days, where there was a show held in the open field, in which 10 thousand people were present in the night, It is said that peace and security has improved there.
