Business Plus: PSX remains negative, loses 263 points
Karachi (Web Desk): Trading at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed on a negative note on Wednesday, with 43441.18 points and volume of 45,53,630 shares. High and Low were 43724.56 and 43416.45 respectively.
Total volume traded in the market was 161,991,744 shares with 354 total traded shares of companies out of which 102 Companies shares were up and 230 Companies shares were down and 22 were unchanged.
FOOD & PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS was the top traded sectors with total traded volume of 18,308,080 shares. It was followed by COMMERCIAL BANKS with a total traded volume of 13,496,300 shares.
The three top companies were Matco Foods Ltd with a volume of 12,791,000 and price per share of 31.60 (1.38), P.I.A.C.(A) with a volume of 9,475,000 and price per share of 5.56 (0.24) and Unity Foods Ltd with a volume of 6,297,500 and price per share of 26.57 (-1.28).
The top three advancers were Rafhan Maize with price per share 7978.95 (379.95), Unilever Foods with price per share of 9500.00 (200.00) and Bata (Pak) with price per share of 2985.00 (75.00).
The top three decliners were Pak Tobacco with price per share of 1995.10 (-105.00), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 1477.25 (-77.75) and Service Ind.Ltd with price per share of 772.00 (-28.00).
