COAS endorses death sentences of 10 terrorists: ISPR
Islamabad (Web Desk): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday approved the death sentences of 10 convicted terrorists, including qawwal Amjad Sabri’s killers.
According to the statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) “All militants are guilty of being involved in crimes of serious nature,”
The convicts, whose capital punishments have been ratified by the army chief, included the ones behind the murder of famed Qawwali singer Amjad Sabri.
Militants Ishaq alias Bobby and Asim alias Capri were condemned to death for their involvement in the killing of Sabri in July 2016. They both were said to be affiliated with outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ).
The terrorists to be hanged till death also included those who are involved in attacks on armed forces, civilians and national assets.
