Pakistan to clash with West Indies in first T20I tonight
Karachi (Web desk): Pakistan’s city of lights is ready to host the first match of the much-awaited T20I tri-series between Pakistan and West Indies tonight.
Pakistan will be looking to take complete advantage of home conditions and a depleted West Indies squad when they take on the Caribbean giants in a three-T20I series starting at National Stadium here from Sunday (today).
Pakistan and West Indies will face each other on April 1, 2 and 3, with both teams looking towards a different goal.
Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed thanked the West Indies for touring the country, as the Caribbean side arrived in Karachi in the latest step towards the resumption of top-level cricket in the country.
The West Indies will become only the third international team to play a bilateral series on Pakistani soil since an attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009.
The 13-member team and staff arrived late Saturday in two groups and were ushered into a bullet proof bus to their hotel.
