Peshawar (Web Desk): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) sitting member national assembly Siraj Muhammad Khan joined Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Wednesday Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN).
Upon his arrival in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) capital, Shehbaz met party leaders at the residence of PML-N K-P president Amir Muqam. He is scheduled to address a workers convention later today.
Seraj Muhammad was elected MNA from the NA-6 Naushera in 2013 election. He secured more than 54 thousands votes. While his close rival candidate of PMLN Mr. Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah obtained more than 34 thousand votes.
On April 7, Ramesh Kumar Vankani, a member of the National Assembly on a minority seat from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), joined Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday, echoing the PTI chief’s claims that the Sharif family is making efforts to hide its corruption by disrespecting the judiciary.
Kumar made the announcement during a joint press conference with the PTI chief in the federal capital Islamabad.
Responding to a question, the MNA said, “I hope Chaudhry Nisar joins PTI too” to which Imran Khan added that the “party had just started”.
While, on April 9, in another major setback to the ruling PML-N, six MNAs and two MPAs decided to part ways with the ruling party and form a new political alliance by the name of South Punjab Front.
